Postpartum Support Options

Daytime Support

2-5 days a week for 4hrs a day

A typical day for me as a postpartum doula is spent nurturing and supporting the whole family as they adjust to life with their new baby. When I arrive, I usually start by checking in with the mother—listening to how she’s feeling, offering encouragement, and making sure she’s cared for both physically and emotionally. Throughout the day, I might help with newborn care, support feeding (whether breastfeeding or bottle-feeding), prepare simple, nourishing meals, tidy up the home, or fold a load of laundry to ease the household load. I love creating moments of calm—making sure mom can rest, shower, or simply breathe while knowing everything is under control. My goal is always to bring peace, practical help, and reassurance so the family can focus on bonding, healing, and finding their new rhythm together.

Nighttime Support

2-3 Nights a Week in 8hr shifts

During an overnight shift as a night doula, my role is to bring calm, rest, and reassurance to the family while they sleep and adjust to their baby’s nighttime needs. When I arrive, I check in with the parents to hear how the day went and discuss any updates with feeding or sleep routines. Throughout the night, I tend to the baby—handling diaper changes, soothing, and settling them back to sleep—so parents can get the uninterrupted rest they need. If the mother is breastfeeding, I gently wake her when it’s time to feed and then take care of burping and resettling afterward. I also keep notes on feedings, sleep stretches, and any observations to share in the morning. Additionally, while baby is sleeping, I take care of small household tasks including cleaning bottles, pump parts, laundry, and restocking and straightening the nursery. My goal is to create a peaceful overnight rhythm, helping both parents and baby wake up feeling more rested, supported, and ready for a new day.

Postpartum Planning

Included in Doula Support Packages.

a la Care - $75 per 90min Session

During a postpartum planning session, I help parents prepare for the emotional, physical, and practical changes that come after birth so they can enter this season feeling supported and confident. Together, we talk through what those first few weeks may look like—discussing rest, feeding plans, household help, emotional support, and realistic expectations for recovery. I help families identify their support network, set up simple systems for meals and self-care, and create a plan for who will handle daily tasks so the focus can stay on healing and bonding. I also offer guidance on recognizing postpartum emotions and when to seek extra support. My goal is to help parents build a plan that reflects their values, honors their unique needs, and creates a peaceful foundation for their transition into life with a new baby.
